Altec Lansing VS2621 2.1
Computer Speaker System
Altec Lansing VS2621 3-Piece Computer Speaker System is "music to your ears" and
very kind to your budget. This system is a step up from the earlier model, Altec Lansing VS2620, that only
came with two speakers (no subwoofer). With the addition of the subwoofer, the VS2621 system is quite
impressive. Let's face it, this system is not meant for a large room setting, but in medium to small size
rooms the power is more than adequate and quite enjoyable.
As for the size, whether it be a shelf or bedside table or the corners of your
computer desk, the system is compact enough to fit in any tight space. I've been using these with my MP3
player and loving every minute of it. They have a pretty good punch as far as wattage goes. The
subwooder is rated at 13 Watts while the two satellite speakers are rated at 7.5 Watts each.

The speaker design is sleek and functional. The right speaker houses the tone and
volume controls as well as the headphone jack. The satellite speakers are compact in size and will take up precious
little real estate on your deskop. Even better there is an auxilliary jack that works even when you aren't
hooked up to your computer. Perfect for MP3 players! The subwoofer is larger but can pretty much be
placed anywhere since the low frequency bass sound waves hug the ground so location doesn't negatively affect the
overall sound experience. The one big downside is that the power button is located on the back of the
subwoofer. No fun crawling around on the floor to turn it off.
Overall, we give the Altech Lansing VS2621 computer speaker system 4.75
stars. The sound is clear and rich and dollar for dollar no other speaker system can rival it.
